Nick has over 35 years of restructuring experience having worked at Deloitte until 2024, where he was a Restructuring and Insolvency partner for 24 years. He also sat on Deloitte boards, both in the UK and Middle East, and had numerous senior leadership roles.
He is an experienced stakeholder advisor having worked with all stakeholder groups, including owners, boards, directors, lenders, creditors and government bodies, including a secondment to the Cabinet Office. Nick was also a licensed insolvency practitioner for 24 years, taking insolvency appointments where needed to seek to rescue businesses and maximise returns to creditors.
Nick has experience across a broad range of sectors, including business services, education, construction/infrastructure, consumer, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, not for profit, professional services, real estate, retail and government/public sector.
Since leaving Deloitte he has undertaken a range of independent roles, including:
- Advising a Global Professional Services Firm international Board on available options for a solvent wind down following completion of an OpCo MBO - Acting as the statutory director to effect solvent liquidations - Advising a Private Equity firm on the acquisition of a leading UK financial advisory business - Advising a property development company following the insolvency of a major shareholder and investor - A Senior Consultant for RS Academics, a leading partner to schools and school groups in the UK - Advising a number of Independent Day and Boarding Schools (Board and/or Head) as to ongoing trading, viability and options, including mergers, restructuring and insolvency
Nick is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also a NED of The Institute for Turnaround, the UK’s leading membership organisation for turnaround and transformation expertise.
